Using tesseract to perform OCR in .net

It is extremly easy to get started doing OCR in your c# apps,

While tesseract-ocr is written in C++ , there are actually some wrappers out there that you can use in your .net app. I’ve tried some of them and the best one was clearly this project from charlesw

Simply install the nuget package Tesseract

Install-Package Tesseract

Then ensure that all itemps in the x64 folder added to the solution are set to copy output : if newer. You also need to do the same for tessdata folder. If it is missing, simply create a tessdata folder and copy at least these files found from tesseract-ocr repo.
